FOODIE FRIDAY: URASAWA

I finally got the courage to ask Urasawa-san for a photo. I’m such a big fan. LOL

I’ve been very fortunate to dine at Urasawa twice in my life. Always an amazing experience everytime.
I didn’t get a chance to take photos of everything. I also lost count of how many items I ate.
Below are photos from both visits to Urasawa.

Sit back and get ready to start drooling. It’s best you ate dinner before scrolling down, or else…
Don’t say I didn’t warn you :)
いただきます.

Toro Tataki : Seared toro wrapped in ebi, uni, and shiso. Wrapped with radish and topped with fresh scallion garnished with yuzu, soy sauce, vinegar, and sweet sake.

Ikura Chawanmushi there’s no other way to describe this then call it HEAVEN IN MY MOUTH.

Caviar Spoon
Absolutely breathtaking flavors.

Truffle Uni Chawanmushi
I’m in love with this delicate soft egg custard and fragrant truffles. I love Truffles and Uni, so why would I not be in love with this dish. Yes I’m in LOVE.

Toro from Boston
Tai from Kyushu
Uni from Hokkaido

Urasawa-san preparing all of our dishes in front of us.

Toro seared before my eyes.

Patiently waiting…

One bite and I was in heaven again. Really wish I can have another order.

The dining experience just keeps getting better throughout the night.
Shabu Shabu~

Not just any kind of shabu shabu, but fresh ingredients from the ocean and land.
Kobe beef, Fresh lobster that was moving and being prepared by Urasawa-san, Scallop, and Foie Gras.
I feel like a Japanese Princess dining at her royal palace.

Uni and Lobster

Just UNI. I can eat ten of these.

I think I’ve tried 4 different desserts here at Urasawa. This one is my favorite. Sesame ice cream covered with Truffles. Each bite was heavenly.

I have to thank my old manager, friends, and my investors from Japan for flying in from Japan and inviting me to join them at Urasawa.
I’m completely blessed and grateful.
I can’t wait to visit Urasawa again.
Urasawa-san Gochi sou sama deshita. Domo arigatou gozaimashita. ごちそうさまでした. どうも有り難うございました.

LOVE,
AiCherie
